Two Man Utd defenders set to leave after Martinez coup

Manchester United defenders Eric Bailly and Ethan Laird could transfer to other clubs following Lisandro Martinez’s arrival from Ajax.

The Red Devils are in talks with Watford over a season-long loan deal for Laird. The 20-year-old spent the 2021/22 campaign on loan at Bournemouth. Bailly, meanwhile, has attracted interest from Serie A. Reigning champions AC Milan and AS Roma are keeping tabs on him. [The Athletic]

Marseille have opened talks over signing Alexis Sanchez from Inter Milan.

AC Milan are set to hand defender Fikayo Tomori a new contract until June 2027.
