Dembele in line for Barca renewal.

FC Barcelona have opened talks with Ousmane Dembele regarding a contract extension.

The French winger will soon enter the final 12 months of his current contract, and Barca want to tie him down with a new long-term deal so as to preserve his market value as well as to ward off interest from Manchester United.

Dembele finally seems to have cemented his place in the Barca line-up following a lengthy injury-plagued period, scoring four goals in 11 appearances across all competitions so far this season. [ESPN]

Milik a priority for Atleti.

Atletico Madrid are keen on securing the transfer of Arkadiusz Milik from Napoli in January.

Injury to Diego Costa and the unavailability of coronavirus-stricken Luis Suarez means the team has lacked up front at times, and Los Rojiblancos intend to bring in a new striker.

The 26-year-old Pole, who will drop to free agency in June, however, is also a transfer target for Tottenham and Everton. [AS]

Juve planning to replace Chiellini.

Samuel Umtiti is on Juventus’ wishlist, with the club looking to bring in a replacement for Giorgio Chiellini.

36-year-old Chiellini, who is currently in his 16th season at the Allianz Stadium, is edging towards the end of his career and Juve are starting to prepare for life after him.

Other names on the wishlist of the Serie A champions are Arsenal’s Sokratis Papastathopoulos, Fiorentina’s Nikola Milenkovic, and Bayern Munich’s David Alaba. [Mundo Deportivo]

Stones of interest to Arsenal.

Arsenal could bring in Manchester City’s John Stones when the transfer market reopens.

The Gunners ‘want to be kept informed’ about his situation and should Man City be open to selling him, they will open talks with the English defender.

Stones intends to regain the trust of Pep Guardiola and should he be unable to work his way up in the manager’s pecking order, he could consider walking out the Etihad exit door. [Eurosport]

Chelsea up for Alaba swoop.

Chelsea are lining up a move for David Alaba at the end of the season.

The Blues are prepared to hand the versatile Austrian a three-year contract, with talks between the club and the player’s agent already in progress.

Alaba could join Frank Lampard’s squad on a free transfer as he’s set to become a free agent next summer after his contract extension talks with Bayern reached an abrupt ending. [Daily Star]
