Real Madrid reject offer to sign €70m Juventus star

Real Madrid turned down the chance to sign Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic in the January transfer window.

Allegedly, Vlahovic told his agent, Darko Ristic, that he wanted to leave Juventus, a year after his €70 million arrival from Fiorentina. Real Madrid was the club on his mind. However, while a new striker is needed, Los Blancos have said no to this opportunity. They will use Rodrygo Goes as an alternative for Karim Benzema instead. [Libertad Digital – in Spanish]

Martinelli signs a new Arsenal contract

Arsenal forward Gabriel Martinelli has signed a new long-term contract at the club.

The 21-year-old Brazil international’s new deal will tie him down at the Emirates until June 2027. His previous contract would’ve expired at the end of next season, although Arsenal had the option to extend it until 2026. [Athletic – subscription required]
