Man City see £30m bid for Premier League star rejected
Brighton have rejected a £30 million (€35m) transfer bid from Manchester City for left-back Marc Cucurella.
As Oleksandr Zinchenko closes in on a move to Arsenal, City are on the lookout for a new left-back. Cucurella is the man that their manager, Pep Guardiola, wants. The 23-year-old Catalan is interested in joining the Premier League champions, although he won’t come cheaply.
Brighton want around £50 million (€59m) for Cucurella, which City are unwilling to match at this stage. [The Athletic]
Barcelona to make a last-ditch bid for Kounde
The Blaugrana will make one last attempt to sign Sevilla defender Jules Kounde.
Chelsea are in the hot seat to sign the 23-year-old Frenchman. The Blues have offered Sevilla a €65 million transfer fee and the player a net salary of €12 million. So as things stand, they’ve effectively out-priced Barcelona. [Diario Sport – in Spanish]

Why are Chelsea struggling to sell?
The Blues are struggling to get transfer offers for goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, attacker Timo Werner, and striker Michy Batshuayi because of their wage demands.
AC Milan have made an approach to sign Hakim Ziyech on loan, but Chelsea would rather sell the winger. Thomas Tuchel’s side are also struggling to offload Ross Barkley. The only offers they’ve received so far are for youngsters Armando Broja and Levi Colwill. [Telegraph – subscription required]
Man Utd won’t sell Martial
Manchester United look set to block any potential transfer for Anthony Martial this summer after the forward’s return from a loan spell at Sevilla.

De Jong & Depay set for Barcelona talks
Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez will meet Memphis Depay and Frenkie de Jong to discuss their futures at Camp Nou.
The Blaugrana hope to cash in on the Dutch duo for around €100 million. Xavi Hernandez has spoken to the club about this plan. He now intends to clarify Barca’s stance to both Depay and De Jong during their tour in the United States. [Diario Sport – in Spanish]
