Conte lists nine players to build Man Utd team around

Kicking off today’s transfer gossip is Antonio Conte’s plan if he replaces Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as Manchester United manager.

The Italian has reportedly identified nine players he could build a team around at Old Trafford. These are Cristiano Ronaldo, Paul Pogba, Raphael Varane, Alex Telles, Bruno Fernandes, Anthony Martial, Jadon Sancho, Mason Greenwood, and Marcus Rashford. [Gazzetta dello Sport – in Italian]

Mourinho plots move for Manchester United star

Jose Mourinho has reportedly made a transfer request to Roma for Manchester United right-back Diogo Dalot.

Frustrated by his lack of game time, Dalot is open to the idea of an Old Trafford exit. Therefore, Mourinho has urged Roma to get a deal done for his Portuguese compatriot.

Roma may attempt to sign Dalot on an initial loan deal with the option to sign him permanently for no more than €10 million. [Il Romanista – in Italian]

Hazard to return to the Premier League?

Chelsea and Newcastle are among several Premier League clubs to have been sounded out over a possible transfer for Eden Hazard.

The 30-year-old hasn’t made his mark in Spain amid injuries and struggles for form. Therefore, as Real Madrid seek to build funds to do deals for Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland, he could find himself cast out.

Hazard, who is under contract at Real Madrid until 2024, has not yet indicated an interest in a return to England. [ESPN]

Arsenal target move for Zakaria

Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Denis Zakaria is the subject of transfer interest from Arsenal.

The 24-year-old’s contract at Gladbach expires at the end of the season. Therefore, he can begin talks with clubs outside of Germany over a free transfer next summer. Arsenal are keen on a deal. That said, Juventus and Roma are also interested in Zakaria. [Sport Bild – in German]
