Chelsea target defender with a €120m release clause
Juventus defender Matthijs de Ligt is on Chelsea’s transfer list of potential defensive reinforcements to fill the void left by the departed Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen.
A deal won’t come cheap, though. De Ligt has a €120 million release clause in his Juve contract, which lasts until 2024. Juventus will only entertain offers close to that price for the Netherlands international. [Sky Sports]
Barcelona make their move for Lewandowski
The La Liga giants have submitted a bid worth €40 million to sign Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski. It includes an initial transfer fee of €35 million, plus a further €5 million in add-ons.
