Chelsea name their top striker target for the summer

The Blaugrana will pursue a deal for Bayern Munich right-back Benjamin Pavard in the summer transfer window.

The 26-year-old France international may opt-out as competition for a starting spot heats up. Bayern rejected a January bid from Inter Milan, but would consider a €30 million offer once the season is over. The club recently signed Joao Cancelo on loan from Manchester City. Chelsea striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has not given his consent to join MLS club Los Angeles FC so far.

Barcelona to appeal Araujo decision to CAS

The LaLiga leaders have appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) over their failed transfer of LA Galaxy defender Julian Araujo.

On January 31, Barcelona and LA Galaxy settled on a $4 million agreement for Araujo. Barca filed the paperwork to complete the deal, but only 18 seconds after the transfer deadline had passed. They claim a computer error caused the delay. Therefore, FIFA ruled the move out. [ESPN]
