Barcelona set to reignite interest in Ligue 1 star

AS Monaco left-back Caio Henrique remains firmly on Barcelona’s transfer list.

The 25-year-old Brazilian has had an excellent start to the new Ligue 1 season, supplying four assists in five games for Monaco. His performances have kept him hot on Barca’s radar. With Jordi Alba tipped to leave in January and Alejandro Balde getting glances from Premier League clubs, the LaLiga giants may need to sign another left-back soon.

Valencia captain Jose Gaya, who will be out of contract next summer, is another player that manager Xavi Hernandez has his eye on. [Diario Sport]

Liverpool lead the race for Bellingham

The Reds lead the race for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham.

 Injuries have rocked Jurgen Klopp’s midfield already this season. Liverpool signed Arthur Melo on loan from Juventus on deadline day to compensate, but it appears they plan on a more permanent solution in Bellingham.

Manchester United are also interested in the 19-year-old England international, who  is under contract at Dortmund until June 2025. [Telegraph – subscription required]

4 LaLiga clubs eye bids for Diaz

Valencia, Villarreal, Celta Vigo, and Real Sociedad all plan to submit pre-contract offers for Blackburn Rovers striker Ben Brereton Diaz.

The 23-year-old Chile international is out of contract at Blackburn next summer and, therefore, can open talks in January over a pre-contract agreement with non-English clubs. He is open to a LaLiga move.

Arsenal can still sign a free agent

The Gunners still have room to add a free agent to their Premier League squad.

Arsenal have called on 14 players who are above the age of 21 and not classified as Home Grown. There are rumors they could try to sign former Lille midfielder Xeka for free.

Mikel Arteta’s side tried to sign Douglas Luiz from Aston Villa on the final day of the summer transfer window following a recent injury setback to Thomas Partey. [Mirror]

Inter set Skriniar deadline

Inter Milan have set a deadline to resolve the future of defender Milan Skriniar.

The 27-year-old, who interested Paris Saint-Germain in the last transfer window, is out of contract next summer. Inter plan to offer him a new lucrative deal worth €6.5 million a year to keep him at San Siro.

The Nerazzurri, however, may only wait until the end of October before considering alternatives if Skriniar doesn’t sign on. [Calciomercato – in Italian]
