Barcelona select a replacement for Frenkie de Jong

Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva is Barcelona’s preferred transfer target to replace Frenkie de Jong.

Recently, De Jong has been touted for a move to Manchester United. Barcelona coach Xavi wants to keep the Dutch midfielder. But if De Jong was to leave this summer, Bernardo would be the ideal replacement.

Sterling is unlikely to join Arsenal or Tottenham

Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling doesn’t plan to decide his future until after England’s UEFA Nations League games in June.

The 27-year-old’s contract runs out in 2023. Talks over an extension haven’t begun yet, as his focus lies on Man City’s campaign.
