Arsenal make their move to sign a second Man City star

The Gunners are working on a transfer deal for Manchester City left-back Oleksandr Zinchenko.

Arsenal are in contact with Man City, who would be open to a sale for the right price. Zinchenko has become a priority for Mikel Arteta’s side after missing out on Ajax’s Lisandro Martinez.

The Blaugrana have told Frenkie de Jong they want him to join Manchester United.

Barcelona wish to sell the 25-year-old midfielder to balance their wage bills and to comply with LaLiga’s financial fair play rules, which have restricted them from registering their new signings.

United have agreed to pay Barca an initial transfer fee of €75million and a potential €10 million in add-ons for De Jong. Hence, the final price could rise to €85 million. [The Athletic]
