Competition for Tottenham target Damsgaard heats up
Mikkel Damsgaard is a wanted man. The 20-year-old winger has enjoyed an impressive debut campaign with Serie A club Sampdoria since a €6.50m transfer from Danish side Nordsjaelland in September. Tottenham, for one, have been on high alert.

Modric offers pay cut to stay at Real Madrid
The 2018 Ballon d’Or winner is out of contract at the end of the season but is keen to remain. Modric, therefore, has told the Real Madrid board that he is prepared to take a pay cut to extend his nine-year association with the club.

Man United still ‘undecided’ on Cavani and Mata
The Red Devils are undecided on whether to activate one-year extensions on striker Edinson Cavani and midfielder Juan Mata’s contracts. The latter, in particular, has struggled to feature regularly for the club this season.

Chelsea to swap Jorginho for Eriksen?
The Blues have reportedly proposed a surprise transfer deal to Inter Milan involving Jorginho and Christian Eriksen.
Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has eyes on Eriksen, who Inter are apparently willing to sell in the summer. Hence, the Nerazzurri could swap the Dane for Jorginho and pay an additional €20m to seal a deal. Talks between the clubs, however, are at a very early stage. [Calciomercatoweb]
