The Ligue de Football Professionnel (IFL) has announced punishments for four players from Paris Saint-Germain for their involvement in the homophobic chants in the recent game against Marseille.

PSG players Randal Kolo Muani, Ousmane Dembele, Achraf Hakimi, and Layvin Kurzawa have one-match suspensions for their involvement in anti-gay chants during a recent Ligue 1 match against Marseille.

The players were caught on camera singing an offensive song toward Marseille supporters. This happened after a Ligue 1 match on September 24, where PSG defeated Marseille 4-0 at the Parc des Princes.

In response to the incident, the Auteuil stand at the Parc des Princes will be closed for two matches, with one match being suspended.

PSG expressed regret over the situation in an official statement on Thursday. The Parisians acknowledged the inappropriate behavior of the fans and players involved. Importantly, the club affirmed that it will not appeal the decision.

Muani, Dembele, Hakimi, and Kurzawa have apologized for their actions last month.

PSG will return to action on Sunday when they visit Rennes at Roazhon Park for a Ligue 1 match.
