The Dutch international is impressed with Ronaldo’s goal-scoring abilities throughout his entire career.

Klass-Jan Huntelaar missed out on the chance of being Cristiano Ronaldo’s teammate not by all that much. After joining AC Milan in the summer of 2009. Although Huntelaar left two months after the Portuguese joined the Spanish side, they never stepped out onto the field side-by-side.

However, the Ajax player is still very impressed with Ronaldo’s talent and ambition. The Juventus player has around 350 more goals than the Dutch, which he attributes to a never-ending will to score. Huntelaar gave an exclusive interview to Ziggo Sport‘s program Inside Ajax. There, the Dutch international confessed he always kept a close eye on the best-attacking players in the world. Obviously, the list had to include the five-time Ballon D’Or winner.

“Anyone can score goals in the front, but how many goals you score depends on positioning and your will to score,” said Huntelaar. “I think Ronaldo has that very much in him. He wants to score at every game and that’s why he scores so much.”

Huntelaar has featured in 11 matches for the Dutch champions this season, scoring three goals. However, the 37-year-old recently confirmed his plans to retire at the end of the season: “Never say never but it’s over. My body is exhausted.”
