The Brazil international has joined Barca in a €67 million deal until 2027 from Leeds United.

Former Real Madrid goalkeeper Kiko Casilla has praised Barcelona’s new signing Raphinha for his talent and work rate.

T he 25-year-old winger is in Barcelona after the club and Leeds settled on a €67 million transfer agreement earlier in the week, paving the way for him to head to Camp Nou on a five-year contract.

How good is Raphinha?

Now Casilla, who played alongside Raphinha, has assured Barcelona fans that his old teammate is a special talent.

“He is explosive, direct, and that can be a different tool for Barça’s game. He is a winger who can get inside and shoot”. Casilla told Cope.

“When you see him train, you know he has something different and that he stands out a lot.”

Casilla added: “He is very professional and hard-working, not the typical Brazilian of the past. He stays 20 minutes after training to practice the set piece and is very friendly.”

Barcelona will formally present Raphinha on Friday afternoon.
