With the 2022 Ballon d’Or ceremony just around the corner, Perez reckons it is obvious who will win the big prize.
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is certain Karim Benzema will win the 2022 Ballon d’Or award.
On October 17, France Football will declare the winner of the 66th edition of the accolade in a ceremony in Paris. The French outlet previously revealed the nominees on August 12, 2022.
Some of the biggest names in the world football are among the list of contenders for the prestigious award. However, as Benzema has already collected the UEFA Men’s Player of the Year, Perez reckons it’s a no-brainer on who will win it.
“Benzema has already received the prize of the best player of the year from UEFA and in the coming days, he will be awarded with the Ballon d’Or,” he said during Real Madrid’s General Assembly.
“Nobody doubts it.”
Benzema led Real Madrid to a 
domestic and European double last season, managing 44 goals and 15 assists in 46 games across all competitions.
The 34-year-old was in the best form of his career and, aside from Perez, many prominent figures around the football world expect him to claim his first Ballon d’Or prize this month.
