In the aftermath of their Champions League success, Bayern boss Hansi Flick expects a number of players to leave the club this summer.
The Bavarians ran riot this season. A trio of trophies this season was rounded up in superb fashion with the Champions League.
Last season becomes the second time Bayern have done the ‘treble’ in their history.
However, it is likely a number of players could now seek new challenges elsewhere. Some Bayern Munich players will more than likely leave the club this summer, says Hansi Flick.
Thiago Alcantara could be the first on that list with a move to Liverpool looking well on the cards.
Ahead of next season, Flicks says he expects some players to leave Bayern this summer. However, he expects the club to recover from it all next season.
“[We will] lose some players who have tremendous quality, we have to deal with that,” he told Die Zeit.
“If I could continue to work with this squad, that would be nice, but that is not the case.”
After a successful season, Flick added that his side are now under pressure to maintain their impressive standards.
“We have achieved something special, something that maybe not all of us thought we could do, but I also know that it will all be over the moment the new season starts,” he added.
“There is a nice phrase: ‘Success is not owned. It is only rented.’ And the rent is due every day. Of course I could say: ‘I’ve achieved a lot now. Now I’ll lean back’. But that doesn’t meet the demands I have on my life.”
