Fiorentina fans have made death threats to Dusan Vlahovic as he nears a transfer to Juventus.

Fiorentina’s ultras have placed intimidating banners outside the club’s stadium threatening Dusan Vlahovic ahead of his impending move to Juventus.

A number of clubs are eager to sign the 21-year-old this month, including Arsenal and Tottenham. But according to Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, the striker is close to a move to Juventus.

However, his decision hasn’t gone down too well with Fiorentina’s ultras who have put up a series of threatening banners outside the Artemio Franchi Stadium.

One read: “Le tue guardie non ti salveranno la vita. Zingaro, per te è finite.” (“Your guards won’t save your life. Gypsy, it’s over for you.”), according to Football Italia.

Another banner read: “Il rispetto non si conquista a suon di gol. Vlahovic gobbo di mierda” (“respect is not won with goals, Vlahović, you s* hunchback!”)

Vlahovic isn’t the first Fiorentina player to make the switch to the Old Lady, and follows in the footsteps of Federico Bernardeschi, Giorgio Chiellini, Juan Cuadrado, and Federicho Chiesa.

With the transfer window set to close on Monday, January 31, it remains to be seen if Vlahovic makes the move this month.

Fiorentina’s sporting director, Daniele Prade, told Sportitalia via the Express: “It’s an important valuation, over €70m as a lump sum with no swap deals and no payment structures. The president [Rocco Commisso] has imposed it on us.

“All of our doors are open in this situation, because we need to understand what the players and his agents really want to do. We received some important offers for him. Offers that were very substantial but we never got any feedback from his agents.

“On our side, there has always been great transparency. I refer to what Joe Barone [Fiorentina’s chief executive] said, all our doors are open.”
