Fiorentina have reportedly offered Federico Chiesa’s services to AC Milan during ongoing talks between the clubs for Nikola Milenkovic.

Despite underperforming for the large portion of 2019/20, Chiesa still clocked up ten goals and nine assists in 34 Serie A outings.

The 22-year-old forward has less than two years left on his contract. So far, he’s been reluctant to put pen to paper on a new deal.

To avoid the risk of losing him for peanuts next summer, Fiorentina will try to offload their prized asset now. It should not be a problem. Chiesa has attracted interest from a host of Europe’s top clubs.

Manchester United, Juventus, Arsenal, and AC Milan have all set their sights on the highly-rated forward. It’s the Rossoneri, who could end up winning the race.

According to Football-Italia, the Viola have proposed Chiesa to Milan during the ongoing negotiations between the sides for Nikola Milenkovic.

Milenkovic has emerged as Stefano Pioli’s top defensive target this summer. The two shares history together, and the former Fiorentina coach is angling for a reunion.

But, the Tuscany-based outfit would rather keep hold of the 22-year-old Serbian starlet. So much so that they are even willing to sacrifice Chiesa.

Former Partizan Belgrade youth academy graduate has established himself as one of Fiorentina’s most consistent performers over the past couple of seasons.

He is also regarded as one of the most talented young defenders in Serie A and Europe. That’s why Giuseppe Iachini wants to have Milenkovic at the Artemio Franchi for at least another season.

Fiorentina’s plan is to distract Milan’s attention by offering a discount for Chiesa.
