Let’s take a look at the best young African talents you can sign on FIFA 22.

Signing a young player on FIFA 22 can save you a lot of money if you manage to develop them through your team. But not every youngster in FIFA 22 has the potential to be a star in the future.

With African stars claiming some of the best Overall scores in the game, looking to find the next Mohamed Salah or Kalidou Koulibaly is a smart move.

Let’s take a look at the top African wonderkids in FIFA 23.

5. David Fofana 🇨🇮 (OVR 66 – POT 83)

Fofana has experienced a steady rise to prominence since starting his European career with Molde in February 2021.

The Ivorian’s FIFA ratings might make you think he’s a midfielder. But in fact, Fofana is a highly-physical striker with incredible potential to become a Haaland-esque star.

Fofana’s pace and physicality ratings prove he can quickly integrate into your squad as a young striker.

4. Hannibal Mejbri 🇹🇳 (OVR 64 – POT 84)

Mejbri left Monaco as one of their best talents to join Manchester United in August 2019.

The Tunisian star went on to make his Red Devils debut in 2021 but struggled for game time under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick.

Man Utd have loaned Mejbri out to Birmingham for the 2022-23 season, where he has made ten Championship appearances so far.

Unlike Fofana, Mejbri doesn’t have any main ratings above 70. But his impressive passing and dribbling skills suggest he will need little time to develop into a fully-fledged star in midfield.

3. Nene Dorgeles 🇲🇱 (OVR 65 – POT 84)

A fast-paced striker, Dorgeles has taken the Belgian league by storm since joining Westerlo on a loan deal this season.

RB Salzburg signed the striker last year, planning to return him to the club next summer.

Taking a brief look at the Mali star’s ratings shows why Salzburg made sure there won’t be a purchase option in his loan contract.

In addition to his brilliant pace, Dorgeles already has a dribbling rating of 70 in FIFA 23. With his attacking numbers hovering just below 70, it won’t take long before you can make him a regular starter in your team.

2. Amad Diallo 🇨🇮 (OVR 69 – OVR 85)

Manchester United paid £19.17 to sign Diallo from Atalanta in January 2021.

He went on to quickly break into the Red Devils’ first team, registering two goals and two assists in his eight appearances for the English giants.

United sent Diallo to another loan deal this summer after his short stint at Rangers. At Sunderland, Diallo has already made nine appearances, scoring once for the Championship side.

Diallo’s pace and dribbling are far more developed compared to other youngsters in the game. Meanwhile, his attacking traits are ready to improve, making him one of the most promising young wingers in English football.

1. Abdul Fatawu Issahaku 🇬🇭 (OVR 67 – POT 86)

Issahaku is relatively unknown compared to other players on our list. But his undeniable chances of becoming a superstar have convinced FIFA to give him the highest potential ranking among the African wonderkids.

The Sporting Lisbon midfielder is fast-paced while boasting exceptional dribbling skills.

You have the option to develop Issahaku into an attacking option by improving his already-impressive attacking ratings. Or you can focus on his passing to mature him into a central midfield.

Either way, you can be sure to have a versatile star in your midfield line.
