Bruno Fernandes admits to feeling dissatisfied at being pulled out of the match by his manager during the heavy defeat against Tottenham.

Manchester United were handed an embarrassing 6-1 smacking at home at the hands of Tottenham in their most recent Premier League outing.

The majority of the Man United players, obviously, underperformed in the match, including Bruno Fernandes.

Fernandes was far from his usual high standards against Spurs. As a result, he was substituted after the first half with the team trailing 4-1 and down to 10 men due to Anthony Martial’s sending off.

Rumors have since been surfacing that the Portuguese midfielder was left furious with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s decision and that it led to a heated argument between the pair during the half time break.

The former Sporting Lisbon man, however, has played down such rumors saying that while the substitution did make him unhappy, it is being blown out of proportion.

“There’s been a lot of speculation about that. I believe it is a way to destabilize the group. What was said is in no way true,” Fernandes said after Portugal’s 3-0 Nations League win over Sweden, via Goal.

“I was replaced at half-time, it is true, by technical option. The coach told me that the game was almost over and that we would have a lot of games ahead of us. Got it. I was not satisfied but said nothing that could harm the group.

“Do not use my name, my colleagues, or the coach to make trouble at Manchester United.”
