The highly influential midfielder reveals it was the allure of the league crown that brought him to the English top-flight.

Manchester United started their Premier League campaign in a disappointing fashion but appear to have turned things around following a series of good results.

The Red Devils beat West Ham 3-1 last week in the previous league outing to mark their fourth successive domestic victory.

A pivotal figure in setting this turn of fortune in motion has been Bruno Fernandes, with the player proving to be the difference-maker for his side on several occasions.

Fernandes notched up four goals and an assist in his side’s previous four league fixtures, including scoring a brace against Everton to inspire a 3-1 comeback.

The midfielder was awarded the Player of the Month for his heroics in November. Though proud, he insists his true happiness lies in winning the league title with Man United – a feat he sees as achievable this season.

“It’s difficult to have one of these, so I’m really proud to have my third one,” Fernandes told the Premier League’s official website after being awarded

“[But] I will be happy when I win the Premier League. The point to come to England, to such a huge club, was to win the Premier League and I think we have the chance to do it.”
