One of Barcelona’s presidential candidates has a specific plan to lure Kylian Mbappe to sign for the club during the next summer transfer window.

FC Barcelona has big plans for Kylian Mbappe depending on who wins the upcoming elections. There are at least three strong candidates who can win the presidency, one of which has a plan to lure the French forward to the club. We are talking about Emili Rusaud, who has a major ace under his sleeve as a vice president.

To those who don’t know, Josep Maria Minguella is one of the most important figures in Barcelona’s modern history. He is the man who found Lionel Messi in Argentina when he was just a little boy. It was Minguella who recommended the Catalan club to sign the legend and the one who remained in contact with his parents. He knows a thing or two about signing great players for the club.

Minguella’s plan to lure Kylian Mbappe.

As part of the candidacy for Rusaud’s presidency, Minguella already has an outlined plan for the young French forward. The idea is to have a juicy offer on the table as soon as Rusaud becomes president. However, that’s a big if because there are another two strong candidates who can beat him in the election. Odds are that Victor Font and Joan Laporta will battle for the presidency but Rusaud is a strong third contender.

Minguella spoke about the plan to lure Mbappe on Mundo Deportivo: “It’s evident Kylian Mbappe’s name was going to come up. It’s a name we already had on the table when Neymar left the club. It was on the board’s mind back then and the sporting director was also in the know. We ultimately decided Dembele was more necessary than Mbappe. If we get to make the decision, Mbappe is absolutely on the table. We already made contact with his people. We’ll be ready to make it happen.”
