According to recent reports, FC Barcelona is still trying to fish for players at Manchester City. They have three more names in mind.

Fortunately for FC Barcelona, Manchester City has an overbooking of players who can leave the club this summer. We know how both Eric Garcia and Sergio Aguero already signed their new contracts as Blaugrana players. Both of them were presented as Barcelona players last week but Joan Laporta isn’t done just yet. There are reports of Pep Guardiola having an extended meeting with Ronald Koeman over more transfers. According to Spanish journalists Jose Alvarez, there are at least three more names in the mix.

Manchester City and Barcelona are currently trying to negotiate for these players who could arrive this summer as well. In fact, president Joan Laporta is making the move for three specific players. At least one of them was already inside the possible names that could arrive at the club. Aymeric Laporta was the first name that was circling the many possibilities for FC Barcelona. Not having enough centre-backs who could compete at the highest level is essential for FC Barcelona. But after that, there are two more names that were revealed on Monday.

Manchester City might release one of these names.

According to journalist Jose Alvarez, Pep Guardiola met with Ronald Koeman in order to discuss a massive trade between both clubs. The Catalan manager loves Sergi Roberto and he might be willing to sign Ousmane Dembele for the Citizens. Joan Laporta explicitly requested Koeman to mention the names of Ilkay Gundogan and Riyad Mahrez. The Algerian winger is way more difficult to sign due to his status as a top player in the Premier League.

But Gundogan’s case is less complicated due to his age. If both clubs reach a proper agreement, a trade of two Barcelona players plus some money could convince City to release Gundogan. After such a complicated season, Joan Laporta is proving to be the ideal man who can take FC Barcelona out of the shadows. If he lands one of these transfers, he will be regarded as a massive success for the club.
