Fans have been left stunned by the decision from FIFA to include Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa in the FIFA Men’s Coach five-man shortlist.

Marcelo Bielsa was a surprise inclusion in the five-man shortlist for FIFA Men’s Coach of the Year on Wednesday morning.

The Argentine was the surprise name on the five-man list with his major notable exploit being that he secured promotion with Leeds to the Premier League.

The 65-year-old isn’t the only Premier League manager that was on the list as Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp also included after ending Liverpool’s 30-year wait to be crowned champions of England again.

Klopp also led the Reds to UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup glory.

Joining those two are Bayern Munich manager Hansi Flick, who led them to another historic Treble; Sevilla’s Julen Lopetegui who won the Europa League last season and Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane who won La Liga.

Considering the crop of other managers on the list, some feel Marcelo Bielsa was not even worthy of a shout from FIFA. It’s a topic that has sparked much talk on social media since the nominees were revealed.

We take a look at some of the best reactions to it all.
