The FA Cup third round draw took place on Monday evening with holders Arsenal, Tottenham, Liverpool, and Chelsea all learning their fate.
It only looks like days ago that Mikel Arteta and Arsenal lifted the FA Cup last term to hand the Gunners a record 13th title.
A new edition of the world’s oldest competition is now upon us.
All 20 Premier League clubs, including the six London sides in the top flight – Arsenal, Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Fulham, Tottenham, and West Ham will join at this stage of the FA Cup along with the 24 Championship clubs.
That includes three more sides from the capital in Brentford, Millwall, and Queens Park Rangers.
There are 20 other sides involved in the third round too, including non-league clubs Chorley and Marine.
And there are some exciting ties to look forward to for the clubs from the capital, with Arsenal drawn to face Newcastle United, while Chelsea will host Morecambe and Tottenham will take on eighth tier side Marine.
There are a few all-Premier League clashes, with Wolves taking on Crystal Palace and Aston Villa Liverpool paired together.
