According to an explosive report, we took some time to explain FC Barcelona’s dire economic situation and its major implications.

FC Barcelona is currently in a dire economic situation that we’ve never seen before from the Catalan club. Historically, they have been a club that always struggled to remain afloat during troubled times. Whenever they find themselves in a tough position in regards to money flow, the Blaugrana always went for a loan with either local or international banks. But the global pandemic has ravaged the institution this year and it brought old managements to light.

As it turns out, Josep Maria Bartomeu and Sandro Rossell left the club with a massive debt that could push them to the edge. If they don’t do something urgently about this situation, Barcelona is in danger of disappearing as a football club. There’s a recent report that describes all the problems Barcelona has and how much money they owe as an institution.

This is Bartomeu and Rossell’s doing.

According to Catalan radio show “Que T’hi Jugues”, FC Barcelona’s debt goes all the way up to €1.173 million. In reality, the club needs to pay around €450 million in salaries alone and nobody knows how they will do it. There are two solutions to this problem that Barcelona simply can’t escape. One is to sell all their best players for important amounts of money in order to save the club and use more academy players.

The other way to save Barcelona is to sell the club to the highest bidder and transform into a club like Manchester City or PSG. There is no other way around this massive problem. Barcelona is about to be dismantled. Josep Maria Bartomeu and Sandro Rossell made decisions that leave this club about to go extinct, they must face the consequences of their actions.
