The Blues winger couldn’t complete his move to Ligue 1 despite a full agreement between the two clubs.

Paris Saint-Germain’s move for Chelsea forward Hakim Ziyech was by far the craziest story of the transfer window’s deadline day.

The Parisians reached an agreement with Chelsea to sign Ziyech on a loan deal until the end of the season. The Morocco international travelled to Paris to complete his move on the transfer window’s deadline day.

However, a number of mistakes regarding the transfer’s paperwork led to its collapse. According to Sky Sports, Chelsea sent the wrong version of the loan contract twice to the French side.

The French giants filed an official appeal to the Professional Football League (LFP) ‘s legal committee to complete the transfer a day later.

However, since PSG had sent their third offer after the January window’s deadline, the committee rejected their appeal.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the French side are “literally furious” with Chelsea for failed transfer. The Sky Sports journalist also claims theirs is “no chance” for PSG to complete the move after their failed LFP appeal.

Chelsea’s busy transfer window has seen the likes of Mykhailo Mudryk and Joao Felix join their already-crowded attacking line.

Ziyech’s struggle for playing time convinced him to seek a move away from the club. But he will need to wait until the next summer to make his next move.
