The France captain has been touted for a summer transfer to Real Madrid, but Samir Nasri thinks he should give it a miss.

Samir Nasri has suggested Kylian Mbappe should snub Real Madrid to stay at Paris Saint-Germain.

Despite PSG’s Qatari owners flushing in the cash, Mbappe’s future is uncertain. The striker is out of contract at the end of the season. This would make him available for a free transfer to Real Madrid in 2024, but Nasri thinks staying in Paris is a more enticing option.

The former midfielder revealed he would never have left Marseille for Arsenal in 2008 had Qataris taken over his hometown club.

“He is from Paris. If I were him, I’d stay at PSG instead of going to Madrid to win Real’s 50th Champions League,” Nasri, who also played for Manchester City, said on Le10Sport.

“If Marseille had been owned by Qatar when I was at the club I would never have left. I think it’s better to be the king in your own village.”

On Saturday, Real Madrid released a statement to deny they’d been in contact with Mbappe.

The 24-year-old is currently preparing for PSG’s Champions League game against AC Milan. The game will take place at San Siro on Tuesday.
