Pep Guardiola’s team have been far from their usual best but they might have enough to claim all three points against Carlo Ancelotti’s men.

Manchester City and Everton both recorded favorable results on Boxing day and either of them will aim to build on those wins when they meet at Goodison Park on Monday.

The home side have looked formidable this season and sit high up in the Premier League standings at second place, just three points adrift of Liverpool.

The visitors, meanwhile, have been quite unconvincing in the opening third of the campaign and find themselves outside of the top four, lagging much behind early in the title race.

The Toffees narrowly beat Sheffield United 1-0 in their previous outing.

It marked a fourth successive win in the league for Ancelotti’s men who had been dumped out of the EFL Cup last week in a dramatic fashion by Manchester United.

As for the Sky Blues, they go into the game on the back of a 2-0 win against Newcastle United which was only their seventh victory in 15 Premier League games so far.

Currently sitting at sixth with 26 points, the Citizens appear to have hit their stride in recent weeks and have started to climb up the league table.

Everton vs Man City Head-to-head

A fairly even record exists between the two sides. Man City have emerged victorious on 13 occasions in 31 previous encounters between the two teams while Everton have won 12 of those games.

However, the Toffees have been unable to get the better of their upcoming opponents in their last five meetings.

Eric Garcia remains on the sidelines for the hosts. Gabriel Jesus and Kyle Walker are also unavailable due to their ongoing recovery from the coronavirus.

The visitors will be missing six first-team players with Lucas Digne, Allan, James Rodriguez, Richarlison, Fabian Delph, and Jean-Philippe Gbamin all out due to fitness issues.
