It has been over a month since the Colombia international last took to the pitch, and the Toffees have struggled during that period.
James Rodriguez has provided an update on his injury saying he’ll return to full fitness before Everton’s next match.
Rodriguez last stepped on the pitch on February 20, during Everton’s 2-0 defeat to Liverpool in the Premier League.
He has since missed five of his side’s matches. The Toffees have struggled in the absence of their star man as they suffered defeat in three of those five fixtures and were dumped out of the FA Cup.
The Colombia international, who arrived to Goodison Park on a free transfer from Real Madrid last summer, has established himself as a key cog in Carlo Ancelotti’s setup, contributing five goals and eight assists in 21 outings in all competitions.
“I’ll play again in the next game, April 3rd, I think,” responded Rondriguez when asked for an injury update by Caracol.
“I’m very well, thank God, and I want to play again.”
Everton will be hoping to end their three-game losing streak when they return to Premier League action after the international break to take on Crystal Palace on April 5.
