Goodison Park was the place where Tottenham visited Everton for the FA Cup’s fifth-round on Wednesday. We got the player ratings.

What a wild night was in store for all of us at Goodison Park between Everton and Tottenham Hotspur. The FA Cup’s fifth-round gave us an exciting match between two of the most competitive football clubs in England. Before the game, Carlo Ancelotti and Jose Mourinho exchanged compliments while knowing they were about to go to battle. From the first minute of the game, we got a taste of the goal-fest that awaited everyone.

Davinson Sanchez scored a header that opened the score during a corner kick for the Spurs. It took Everton half an hour to respond through a beautiful volley from Calvert Lewin. After the equalizer, we got a moment of brilliance from Richarlison before the break. First, he took a shot from the outskirts of the box for Everton’s second goal. After that, he got taken down by Hojbjerg to give Sigurdsson the chance to score from the spot. With a 3-1 advantage, Erik Lamela gave the Spurs some hope with a late goal right before the break.

The Toffees get the last laugh.

After the break, Jose Mourinho knew he needed Harry Kane despite recently recovering from an injury. The England skipper makes a world of difference when he is on the pitch, and that’s exactly what he did. After a Davinson Sanchez brace early in the second half, Richarlison responded with a brace of his own. Gilfy Sigurdsson was inspired to assist his teammates this evening.

However, Harry Kane scored the equalizer that took the game to extra time after Son set him up for a header. During the initial minutes of the first extra time, Sigurdsson combined with Bernard for a beautiful winning goal. Although the Spurs attempted to tie the game again, they weren’t able to do it with the time they had left. Everton advanced to the final stage of an exciting edition of this FA Cup.
