Liverpool won the Merseyside derby as they displayed yet another incredible attacking performance.

Liverpool defeated Everton with a 4-1 result in their league game on Wednesday night. The Reds keep the pressure on Chelsea at the top of the table, sitting only two points behind them.

Salah is on fire!

Liverpool made a perfect start to the game. Only 20 minutes into the game, the Reds were two goals ahead at Goodison Park. Jordan Henderson opened the scoring in the ninth minute, while Mohamed Salah doubled the lead ten minutes later.

Demarai Gray kept Everton’s hopes for a comeback alive as he scored in the 38th minute. However, Liverpool were even more dominant in the second half.

Salah completed his brace four minutes past the hour mark, while Diogo Jota made it 4-1 in the 79th minute. Liverpool had the chance to increase their lead, but Everton were lucky it did not turn into a complete disaster.

Continuing their stunning form, Liverpool are doing the best they can to leapfrog Chelsea from the top of the table. However, the Blues also won their match against Watford, meaning they stay up there for now.

On the other hand, Everton displayed another unbalanced performance as they suffered their third defeat in a row. The defeat might even put Rafa Benitez’s job in danger. The Toffees sit only five points away from the relegation zone ahead of their next match against Arsenal.
