Back-to-back Premier League victories send United to the sixth spot on the table.

Manchester United defeated Everton 3-0 in their Premier League game on Sunday. The Toffees suffered a disappointing defeat in their first match after being deducted ten points.

What happened?

Alejandro Garnacho scored a potential Puskas award-winner to put United ahead only three minutes into the game. Following a cross from Diogo Dalot, the Argentine star smashed a magical overhead kick past Jordan Pickford from around 15 yards out.

Everton gradually found their feet in the game as United struggled to create more serious chances after the opener. The hosts missed two big chances just before the half-time whistle as United maintained their one-goal lead.

After the break, however, United were quick to double their lead. Marcus Rashford converted a penalty for the Red Devils as they made it 2-0 in the 56th minute. Everton almost made an instant response, but Andre Onana stopped Idrissa Gueye’s shot with a fantastic save.

United then put the victory to bed by scoring their third goal of the night in the 75th minute. This time, a perfect through ball from Bruno Fernandes found Anthony Martial, who nodded it past Pickford in a one-on-one situation.

United will now prepare for a crucial upcoming Champions League match against Galatasaray on Wednesday.
