The Gunners continued their brilliant run in the Premier League with a narrow win against Everton.
Arsenal defeated Everton 1-0 in their Premier League game on Sunday. A second-half goal by Leandro Trossard was enough to ensure the Gunners’ victory at Goodison Park.
What happened?
The first half started off with Arsenal pushing for an early breakthrough. The Gunners thought they had scored the opener through Gabriel Martinelli in the 19th minute, but the goal was disallowed by VAR. The rest of the first period was somewhat uneventful as neither side managed to put enough pressure on their opponents.
Arsenal, however, found a flying start to the second half, creating several goalscoring chances early on. The visitors had to wait until the 69th minute to finally make it 1-0 through Trossard.
Following a short pass from Bukayo Saka inside the box, Trossard guided a first-time shot past Jordan Pickford with the help of the far post. Arsenal had a few more chances to increase their lead but settled for a 1-0 narrow win.
