The Cameroon international Samuel Eto’o gave his suggestion to replace the extraterrestrial Lionel Messi at Barcelona. This is crazy!
Samuel Eto’o expressed his opinion regarding the replacement of Lionel Messi at Barcelona. Subsequently, the former Barca star suggests that the Catalan side should sign youngster Youssoufa Moukoko from Borussia Dortmund.
Evidently, the 15-year-old is on the squad list for Champions League for BVB. Although, he will not be able to play until he turns 16 on November 20.
However, in spite of not appearing for his senior debut, Moukoko should be the next target for Barcelona. Meaning, he could switch for the 33-year-old Messi according to Eto’o.
Nonetheless, the Cameroonian appeared for two Champions League victories during his five-year spell at Camp Nou.
Who will replace Messi?
“[There’s] a young player who plays for Dortmund called Youssoufa Moukoko,” Eto’o told Goal when asked who he’d love to see as Barcelona’s next big signing. “[He’s] 15 years of age, and he’s the next top player, for me, after Messi.
“As Messi gets older, we could prepare the future of Barcelona very well.”
Furthermore, Eto’o would like to another youngster playing for Barcelona alongside Moukoko and Antione Griezmann. Paris Saint-Germain’s Kylian Mbappe will complete a deadly trio as per the former Barca man.
“With Antoine and Youssoufa [up front together], that team would go forward very well,” Eto’o concluded. “[I’d like to see] Kylian Mbappe at Barcelona also.”
As seen by all, Messi nearly left the Catalan capital after handing out a transfer request during the summer.
Moreover, the massive defeat to Bayern Munich in last season’s Champion League added to the pile with Real Madrid’s La Liga triumph.

Distinctly, the German-Cameroonian striker Moukoko is ranked 44th in the NxGn 2020 list from Goal. He is one of football’s best wonder kids in the world. Also, Moukoko is the first youngest player to play and net a goal in the UEFA Youth League.
The forward already played for Germany U-20 level. In addition, Moukoko netted 134 goals in 86 outings for Dortmund junior level.
