The new Man Utd boss has paid tribute to Ferguson’s incredible achievements at Old Trafford.

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has discussed his relationship with Sir Alex Ferguson.

Since the legendary coach’s departure in 2013, Man Utd have struggled to maintain their place as one of the Premier League‘s elite clubs.

However, Ten Hag’s arrival last summer has sparked new hopes for United’s revival. The Dutchman has received well-deserved praise for improving the Red Devils’ form as his side keeps fighting for trophies in four competitions.

Pictures emerged of Ten Hag having dinner with Ferguson earlier this week. In an interview with Sky Sports, the 53-year-old elaborated on Ferguson’s legacy at the club.

“I think he left a legacy and that is Manchester United stands for winning and a winning culture,” he said.

“I think he’s such a great example for all of us, for humanity, but for all of us around and in Manchester United. He’s such a big example and we hope that we can make him proud.”

Asked if he would be having dinner with Ferguson again in the near future, he replied: “We unfortunately don’t have time for that because the time is too short.”
