United have slipped to tenth spot on the Premier League table after a disappointing start to the season.

Manchester United prepare for their next Premier League after back-to-back defeats against Crystal Palace and Galatasaray. It’s a must-win match for the Red Devils, who’ve come under pressure for their poor form in recent weeks.

Speaking in a press conference before the game, Ten Hag admitted his side are struggling to stay consistent.

“Consistency [is a problem]. That is the problem we are struggling with,” the Dutchman told reporters.

“In parts of the games, in big parts, we do a lot of things right, but we have moments where we struggle and in such moments we can’t survive.

“We need to do the right things, be consistent and do it like before, so definitely you can mark such a moment like when we score or concede a goal. We have to step up.”

Marcus Rashford has started the season with a significant dip in form, scoring once in nine matches. But Ten Hag believes the England international will soon regain his rhythm.

He added: “Strikers, when they don’t score, they need a moment and it will come. He’s so experienced and when he’s doing the right things and the team is, the momentum will come and he’ll be on fire.”
