Recent reports in the media have claimed CR7 wants to leave Old Trafford this summer.

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has stated that Cristiano Ronaldo is not for sale and is part of his plans for the new season.

Since the beginning of July, Ronaldo’s future has again come under the spotlight. Various reports have claimed he has asked United to sell him if they receive a fair offer. Several clubs, including Chelsea and Bayern Munich, have been linked with the forward.

Ronaldo, meanwhile, hasn’t joined the United squad for their pre-season tour due to ‘personal reasons’.

‘Cristiano is not for sale’

Speaking ahead of the club’s friendly against Liverpool in Thailand, Ten Hag revealed he has not spoken to Ronaldo since these exit reports emerged.

“He’s not with us, it’s due to personal issues,” said the Red Devils boss in a press conference.

“We are planning with Cristiano Ronaldo for this season. I’m looking forward to working with him.

“He hasn’t told me he wants to leave. I have read but what I say, Cristiano is not for sale. He is in our plans and we want to have success together.”

Ten Hag added: “I spoke with him before this issue came up. I had a conversation with him and a real good talk.

“That is between Cristiano and me. Only what I can confirm is that we had a really good conversation together.”
