The Cameroon international has emerged as a possible replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo at Old Trafford.
Bayern Munich striker Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting has reportedly ruled out a move to Manchester United.
Choupo-Moting left Paris Saint-Germain to join Bayern as Robert Lewandowski’s backup in October 2020.
The Cameroon international found little game time while staying behind Lewandowski in Bayern’s pecking order. However, the Polish star’s departure in the summer has enabled him to regain his best form.
Having registered ten goals and three assists in his 14 appearances for Bayern this season, Choupo-Moting has become a regular starter at Allianz Arena.
His performances have caught the attention of Man United, who are considering Cristiano Ronaldo’s possible replacement. However, the former PSG star is not keen to leave Munich.
According to Sky Sports reporter Florian Plettenberg, Choupo-Moting has made it clear he won’t leave Bayern this January.
The 33-year-old is reportedly planning to hold talks with Bayern over signing a contract extension after the World Cup.
Choupo-Moting will travel to Qatar with Cameroon, who will compete against Switzerland, Serbia, and Brazil in Group G of the competition.
Before the tournament, the Indomitable Lions will lock horns with Jamaica and Panama in two late preparation games.
