The Ivory Coast international has practically confirmed the upcoming changes about to happen at Old Trafford.

Manchester United defender Eric Bailly has revealed the players have been told about the arrival of a new interim manager.

The 27-year-old dropped this bombshell after the club’s 1-1 draw at Chelsea on Sunday evening, where he replaced a suspended Harry Maguire for only his second Premier League appearance this season.

“We have been told in the dressing room about the arrival of the new manager,” Bailly told RMC Sport correspondent Julien Laurens.

Who will be the interim Red Devils boss?

While Bailly didn’t give a name, he was probably referring to Ralf Rangnick. Many reports have claimed the former RB Leipzig boss will take over from Michael Carrick as the interim manager until the summer.

At the time of writing, United have made no official announcement about Rangnick’s imminent arrival.

The German, if he indeed takes charge this week, could make his Red Devils debut against Arsenal on Thursday or against Crystal Palace next Sunday in the Premier League at Old Trafford.

Once the season ends, Rangnick will remain at the club in a reported ‘consultancy’ role on a two-year deal.
