The Blues have struggled to bounce back from their poor run of form in recent weeks.
Enzo Fernandez has called on Chelsea fans to stay patient as pressure mounts on the club’s manager and new signings.
Since Todd Boehly took over the club last summer, Chelsea have spent £600 million in transfers. However, the Blues haven’t managed to translate that spending into performances on the pitch.
Under Graham Potter, Chelsea have slipped to the tenth spot on the table, failing to win a single game since January 15. The Blues’ performances have even attracted criticism toward Fernandez, who joined the club on a record-breaking transfer last month.
But the Argentina international believes his side need more time to build their new identity in the Premier League.
Speaking to Daily Telegraph, Fernandez said: “Trust the players, trust the backroom staff, trust the manager.
“Never forget that we are representing you, that we are trying to win games, starting on Sunday. Then we can start to turn things around.
“I would encourage the fans to be patient. We have got a lot of new faces here and it is a restructuring of the club and the playing staff. Trust us.”
Chelsea will take on Tottenham in their next league game on Sunday. The Blues will then host Leeds United next weekend.
