England suffered an unwelcome setback to their preparations for the Euro 2020 final as Phil Foden missed training.
Phil Foden was absent from the final England team training session on Saturday after suffering a ‘minor knock’.
In an open training session at St George’s Park, Foden was the only one missing from Gareth Southgate’s 26-man squad. The other 25 players trained normally and experienced no problems.
According to Sky Sports, Foden’s absence was a ‘precaution’ after he picked up a ‘minor knock’. The English FA has kept details on the 21-year-old midfielder’s problem to a bare minimum so far.

Therefore, Foden is now in a race against time to return to fitness ahead of Sunday’s Euro 2020 final against Italy.
The Manchester City ace has made three appearances in Euro 2020 to help England reach the final for the first time. He also replaced Mason Mount as a substitute in the 2-1 semi-final win over Denmark.
All 26 players of the Three Lions squad have passed UEFA’s PCR coronavirus tests for Sunday’s final at Wembley.
