England will be without two more of their key players for their next match as Ben Chilwell & Kieran Trippier have withdrawn from the team.
Though it doesn’t appear like it from their results on the pitch, the England squad has been in a turmoil as of late with a number of their players getting involved in controversies.
Tammy Abraham, Jadon Sancho, and Ben Chilwell were the latest ones to generate the wrong kind of headlines as the latter two were pictured attending the former’s birthday party in London.
As punishment for breaching the COVID-19 safety regulations of the country, the trio was dropped from the Three Lions’ squad for the Wales fixture. This was after Phil Foden and Mason Greenwood were suffered England axes for similar irresponsible actions.
Chilwell also sat out of the following game against Belgium as a precautionary measure after displaying mild coronavirus symptoms.
And now he has completely pulled out of the squad, along with Kieran Trippier, for the upcoming clash against Denmark.
A statement on the FA’s official website read: “Ben Chilwell and Kieran Trippier have left the England camp and will not be available for the UEFA Nations League fixture against Denmark on Wednesday.
“That leaves 28 players for consideration for Gareth Southgate’s 23-man matchday squad.”
