The Brazilian starlet won’t be able to play for the Blancos until he’s 18.
Real Madrid have completed the signing of Endrick from Palmeiras.
The teenage winger has taken the Brazilian star by storm since making his senior debut for Palmeiras. A host of elite European sides were pushing to sign Endrick. But Real Madrid have managed to finalize a deal by activating his €60m release clause.
The club have confirmed the 16-year-old will remain at Palmeiras until 2024.
“Real Madrid CF, Sociedade Esportiva Palmeiras, Endrick and his family have reached an agreement whereby the player will be able to join Real Madrid when he comes of age in July 2024,” a statement from the La Liga champions read.
“Until then, Endrick will continue his training at Palmeiras. The player will travel to Madrid in the coming days to visit our club’s facilities.”
FIFA regulations don’t allow international transfer of players before they turn 18. Therefore, Endrick should continue his development in Brazil before arriving at Santiago Bernabeu ahead of the 2024-25 season.
Speaking to Palmeiras’ website, the forward said: “I thank Palmeiras, the greatest champion of Brazil, champions of America, champion of the world and, forever, the club of my heart, for offering me everything necessary to become what I am today, for helping to accomplish several of my dreams and for respecting my desire and that of my family to make another dream come true.
“Until I join Real Madrid, I will continue to dedicate myself as I have always dedicated myself to being able to offer Palmeiras even more on the field: more goals, more victories, more titles and even more joy for our fans.”
