After last weekend’s performance against Alaves, Eden Hazard revealed a shocking admission about the ankle injury from 2019.

Eden Hazard has never played at the same level he displayed during his time at Chelsea while wearing the Real Madrid jersey. When he first arrived in Spain, the excitement reached fever pitch levels due to this player’s quality. But during his first year at the club, Hazard wasn’t able to showcase the extent of his level due to an unfortunate event. He clashed with compatriot Thomas Meunier and his ankle was deeply affected.

An injury that still hasn’t allowed him to return to his optimal form in almost two years. Alongside this problem came a plethora of criticism from his lack of discipline during the holidays. But the new season started with light at the end of the tunnel. As a starter against Alaves, Hazard perhaps played the best performance since he became a Real Madrid player. He did leave the pitch during the second half but the sensations were all positive.

Hazard responds about his ankle injury.

Initially, many believed Eden Hazard left the pitch due to new injury issues. But the player himself silenced those rumors right after the match. As he spoke with the press, he confirmed that the ankle injury is completely in the past. Meaning he is feeling in great shape to play this season at the highest level. If this happens, Eden Hazard has the potential to become La Liga’s best player without any opposition. Diario AS reported the following statement: “That ankle injury is completely out of my head and we are going to give everything to win this season.

“This is a great feeling for me and for the squad. We scored four goals with a fantastic feeling. The goal is to win the most matches possible. I believe we can do great things together this year. We all certainly hope my goal drought changes. I came here to score goals as one of the attacking players. But the most important thing is that we are all together, we can play with three and even four forwards at the same time. But we all work for the benefit of the team. What matters most from each match is getting the three points.”
