The former Chelsea winger has struggled with injuries and fitness problems since his arrival in the summer of 2019.

Eden Hazard has announced that he has no intention of leaving Real Madrid, but admits the decision is not entirely in his hands either.

The 31-year-old has struggled for regular action, having spent the bulk of this season on the bench so far. He has made just six appearances in all competitions and hasn’t played a LaLiga game since September 11.

“I don’t want to leave Real Madrid. The answer is clear, but it’s not just up to me,” Hazard announced in a press conference on Monday.

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has previously said that Hazard knows why he is struggling for game time amid fierce competition inside the squad.

However, with the World Cup starting next week, Hazard’s focus now lies on Belgium. The Red Devils will play a friendly against Egypt on Friday before taking on Canada next Wednesday in their Group F opener.
