The Bianconeri currently find themselves short of options up front, but their situation can be expected to change for the better soon.
Alvaro Morata could be available for Juventus’s upcoming match against AS Roma, Massimiliano Allegri has informed.
Paulo Dybala, however, has no chance of featuring in Sunday’s fixture as he’s still on the road to recovery.
The Spanish striker, who has scored three goals in seven games across all competitions so far in 2021-22, picked up a thigh injury in the match against Sampdoria on September 26.
The Argentine attacker, meanwhile, suffered a hamstring issue in the same game.
“Morata will train with the team today, but it depends on the risks we can take with his availability,” Allegri said at a press conference (via Football Italia). “If not, we risk nullifying the work done by the doctors.
“Dybala, absolutely not. He’s far behind Morata. During the week I was reading that Dybala can play against Roma…maybe the return leg. I think he will be available within a week, no more than 10 days.”
Juventus will be hoping their joint-top scorers of the season regains full fitness as important matches await in the next few weeks. The Bianconeri, after facing Roma, will take on Zenit in the Champions League before paying a visit to defending Serie A champions Inter Milan.
