The Norwegian hitman has been linked with an exit from the Signal Iduna Park this summer, with the Blues knocking on their door.

Erling Haaland will continue at Borussia Dortmund next season, insists the club’s head of first-team football Sebastian Kehl.

Real Madrid, Manchester City, Manchester United, and Chelsea, among others, have all been linked with Haaland, with the latter seeming as his most likely destination.

The 20-year-old, who found the back of the net an incredible 41 times in just 41 appearances last time out, still has three years remaining on his BVB contract, which means he won’t come cheap. However, he is understood to have a relatively economic release clause on his contract which will come into play next summer.

Haaland did not participate in the Bundesliga outfit’s first pre-season friendly on Tuesday, and while that does raise questions, Kehl says the player is preparing for his first full season at Signal Iduna Park.

“There is nothing new on this matter. He is in our plans,” the BVB head of first-team football told Sky Germany.

“Erling will return this week and he will be very hungry. He wants to play football, he feels comfortable with us and he will be eager to score many goals.”
