The English forward has returned to Dortmund after spending a tough period at Manchester United.

Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans Joachim Watzke has rubbished claims that Jadon Sancho has “discipline problems”.

The term was used by Erik ten Hag to explain his decision to freeze Sancho out of Manchester United’s squad in August. The English star reportedly refused to apologize to Ten Hag, spending the past five months out of action.

Having completed a loan move back to Dortmund, Sancho now has a chance to revive his career at the German side. It seems the 23-year-old enjoys the support of Dortmund’s chief, who managed to bring him back to Signal Iduna Park for a £3million loan fee.

Speaking to Sky Germany, Watzke said on Saturday: “Jadon has no discipline problem.” Watzke said, “I don’t know who made that up.”

After being omitted from United’s squad for a game against Arsenal earlier this year, Sancho reacted on social media, claiming he was a “scapegoat” for the team’s poor results.

For a £73m transfer, Sancho’s time at Old Trafford was a disaster as he never lived up to expectations. However, his past excellence at Dortmund offers a more positive perspective on the winger’s career as he aims to rejoin an elite club in the summer.
