The PSG goalkeeper fell victim to a brutal robbery earlier this week.
Gianluigi Donnarumma has spoken about a harrowing incident of robbery that occurred at his home in Paris.
Donnarumma and his partner, Alessia Elefante, fell victim to a terrifying home invasion where they were tied up and their house was ransacked by burglars.
The alarming incident took place during the early hours of Friday morning at approximately 3 am. According to reports, the thieves managed to steal items worth an estimated €500,000.
Speaking to Libero, Donnarumma said (via Goal): “To suddenly find people at home at three o’clock in the morning, I think it’s the worst feeling possible.
“I was tied up and Alessia was forced to give everything valuable we had. I cannot go into details because the investigation is ongoing. We had to leave our apartment to allow the investigation to take place, we are staying in a hotel.
“I was very afraid for Alessia, that something would happen to her. I was helpless, tied up, I couldn’t do anything. Also, I don’t fully master French, so it was difficult to explain to these people where the things were.”
Several other PSG players, including Angel Di Maria, Marquinhos, Thiago Silva, and Mauro Icardi, have also experienced similar robberies in recent years.
Authorities are actively investigating the case. In the meantime, Donnarumma and his partner have temporarily relocated to a hotel to facilitate the ongoing investigation.
